We provide DHS foster parents with regularly scheduled breaks so they can enjoy time to themselves while we care for
their children.

Being a foster parent is a rewarding yet difficult responsibility that requires physical and emotional stamina. So much time is spent caring for the children in their home, that little time or energy is left to care for themselves. Foster Parents' Night Out provides DHS foster parents time to enjoy a much deserved and regularly scheduled break. By bringing their foster, adopted and biological children to FPNO, parents can take the night off while trained volunteers provide their children with fun activities in a safe environment. By providing quality respite care, we aim to help caregivers take care of themselves and increase the retention rate of great foster parents in our community.
